Prerequisites
An accredited Master of Divinity degree* with at least a 3.0 grade point average and significant ministry experience.
*Applicants without an accredited Master of Divinity degree may be admitted upon fulfillment of the six
criteria developed by the Association of Theological Schools: (a) the ability to thoughtfully interpret scripture and the theological tradition of one’s ministry context, (b) the capacity to understand and adapt one’s ministry to the cultural context, (c) a basic self-understanding
of one’s ministerial identity and
vocational calling, (d) a readiness
to engage in ongoing personal and
spiritual formation for one’s ministry,
(e) an accredited master’s degree
(or its educational equivalent) in an
area related to one’s ministry setting
or vocational calling, and (f) significant ministerial experience that enables the applicant to engage as a ministry peer with other students in this advanced professional doctorate.

The Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) is a specialized 36-credit program designed for professionals seeking to deepen their theological understanding and vocational skills. Built around a praxis model, the program integrates biblical, theological, and cultural disciplines to offer a comprehensive educational experience. It emphasizes mentorship, with a dedicated mentor team guiding students throughout their journey. The curriculum includes unique features like Peer Reflection Seminars and Customized Learning Experiences, allowing for a tailored educational path. Students also have the opportunity to apply their learning in real-world contexts, making the program highly relevant to current or future vocational roles. Upon completion, graduates are well-equipped for advanced roles in ministry and theological scholarship. This degree is offered through the innovative Kairos Project at Kairos University.
